HISTORIC PARK CITY ALLIANCE INTRODUCES CHALK OF THE TOWN EACH SUNDAY IN SEPTEMBER

The Historic Park City Alliance (HPCA), a membership organization comprised of merchants within Park City’s Historic business district, unveils a new weekly art event, Chalk of the Town. Temporary installations of dynamic, life-sized chalk art will be revealed each Sunday in September along upper Main Street to coincide with Car-Free Sundays and a full afternoon lineup of live entertainment from Noon – 3:00 p.m.

“The Historic Park City Alliance encourages locals and visitors to explore all upper Main Street has to offer,” explains Ginger Wicks, Executive Director of the Historic Park City Alliance. “The combination of chalk art installations, live music and the pedestrian-friendly street creates a one-of-a-kind environment in the historic district.”

Each week, a new artist takes to the street and transforms a section of sidewalk on upper Main Street through a chalk art creation designed to highlight all there is to love about Park City. Artists Include:

Sept. 5, 2021: Sarah Means

Sept. 12, 2021: M’Lynn Suwinski

Sept. 19, 2021: Camille Grimshaw

Sept. 26, 2021: Brittany Shepler

Visitors are encouraged to support the more than 200 businesses that line Park City’s Historic Main Street. The majority of Historic Park City’s businesses are locally owned and operated.

Chalk of the Town is possible thanks to generous support from the Summit County Restaurant Tax Grant, the Park City Chamber and Visitors Bureau, and Park City Municipal Corporation.
